Discover breathtaking views of Switzerland, the Alps, and Lake Geneva on this scenic excursion combining a countryside drive with a lake cruise aboard a historic paddle steamer.

Set off aboard our comfortable coach from Geneva or Lausanne, winding through the rolling vineyards and countryside of the Vaud region.

Your first stop is Vevey, home to Chaplin’s World — an immersive museum dedicated to the life, family, and cinematic genius of Charlie Chaplin. Step inside the historic mansion where he spent the final 25 years of his life, and follow his journey from a difficult childhood to his creative mastery as a writer, composer, and director. Wander through life-sized, faithful reconstructions of his most iconic film sets, and be transported into the magic of early cinema at our Hollywood-style studio, where the sets of his greatest films bring one of the 20th century’s most groundbreaking artists to life.

From here, continue to Lavaux, a UNESCO World Heritage vineyard famed for its dramatic terraced hillsides overlooking the lake — often called “The Wine Road.” Pause among the vines for a tasting of local specialties: cheese, wine, or grape juice. Before lunch, take in the sights of Vevey itself — the Nestlé world headquarters and the historic covered market — then enjoy some free time to relax over lunch.

In the afternoon comes the highlight of the day: board the Belle Époque, a beautifully restored 19th-century steamer, for a scenic cruise across Lake Geneva. Take in sweeping views of the Alps and the shoreline as you sail toward the Castle of Chillon — Switzerland’s most-visited castle, dating back to the 11th century. Perched on a rocky islet between Montreux and Villeneuve, this romantic fortress once held strategic control over trade routes across the lake, and its atmospheric dungeons famously inspired Lord Byron.

Your journey ends in Montreux, an elegant lakeside resort long beloved by legendary musicians — Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, B.B. King, Ray Charles, and many others. The city’s emblem, a statue of Freddie Mercury, honors the singer who lived here for years and recorded Queen’s final album, Made in Heaven, at Mountain Studio inside the Montreux Casino. You’ll have the opportunity to visit that very recording studio. Stroll the lakeside streets, past boutiques and landmarks tied to the world-famous Montreux Jazz Festival, before boarding the coach back to Geneva or Lausanne.
